What is a community garden? Why would someone participate in one? What benefits are there? What does it take to get started? Are there problems?
Community gardens are created and maintained by groups of people for reasons as varied as the people. They can be anywhere there is land with sunlight and can be used to grow vegetables, flowers, herbs, and fruits.
Community gardens bring people together for a common purpose and may serve the common good. They are created by churches, schools, and communities and are maintained by both youth and adults.
