Tree Planting Demonstration
We have previously sent some advance notice of a tree planting demonstration scheduled for November 4. We have now firmed up the time and location.
North Chatham School, 3380 Lystra Road, 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 4.
It is our long term observation that many trees that are planted are short-lived because they are not planted properly. You can cut any number of corners, of course, in digging a round hole. (Does it have to be round?) Our hope is to demonstrate best current knowledge about how to plant a tree (or shrub) to optimize success.
Bryan Lowrance, certified arborist of Barlett Tree Expert Company, will donate materials and labor to demonstrate best planting practices.
