Ray Sugg of Bonlee Grown Farm helped me pick up all the plants. I purchased plants from 10 different local nurseries. I picked up the smaller orders that would fit in my truck and Ray picked up the bigger stuff. He was a huge help! |

I hired Sara Wilson of Sugar Lake Nursery in Pittsboro to do the installation. I originally envisioned using volunteers to do all the planting but it was so late in the year and we needed to get it done. I plan on using volunteers to help with the Phase II planting. Here Sara is laying out the shrubs. I put one of my very favorite trees in this bed: a native sassafras. It is a beautiful specimen from Silk Hope Nursery. |
