Apple cleans her newborn kid. Research has shown that this early
touch stimulates growth and has positive benefits for newborns.

Apple cleans her new baby. Don't you love how his white markings
mirror his mom's?

Once mom has cleaned up the kid, Tristy takes him in a dry towel
for his first feeding. Meanwhile Apple is pushing out her second
kid. She had twins!

Weekend apprentice Alton Justice bottle-feeds heat-treated colostrum
to the newborn kid. Bottle-feeding helps prevent CAE, or Caprine
Arthritis Encephalitis, which is transmitted through mothers'
milk.

The newborn kids huddle under a heat lamp for
warmth.
