May 4 – 4-H meeting/field trip for Horsekateers members in Broadway at 2:00PM

May 5 – Deadline to RSVP to Ginger for 4-H Congress this summer

May 8 – Groundbreaking ceremony of new county agricultural building and centennial celebration on the campus of Pittsboro CCCC (764 West Street, Pittsboro, NC 27312) at 4:30PM

May 9 – Deadline for counselor job applications for summer camps (due into office by 5PM)

May 9 – 4-H participating in Chatham Charter School Carnival from 5:00-7:30PM

May 10 – Pollinator Day celebration at Chatham Mills in Pittsboro (begins at 9:00AM)

May 10 – NC State Fair Steer Check-In at Dixie Classic Fairgrounds in Winston-Salem (9:00AM – 2:00PM)

May 12 – Deadline to RSVP to Ginger for United Way Volunteers Reception (First UMC in Siler City) on May 18th

May 13 – Spring edition of the 2014 4-H Butterfly Project begins in local schools with kit & larvae deliveries

May 13 – Deadline to RSVP to Ginger if attending State Presentations Final at Congress

May 14 – Completed packets for AIRE and Mock AIRE competitions are due to Ginger today by the latest

May 17 – NC State Fair Steer Check-In at NCSU Beef Teaching Unit in Raleigh (9:00AM – 2:00PM)

May 23 – Conclusion of Second Session of 4-H Embryology program with duckling/poult pick-ups

May 26 – HOLIDAY (office closed in observance of Memorial Day)

May 31 – NC Junior Beef Round Up Skillathon Contest at NCSU (9:00AM – 2:00PM)
