Congratulations are in order for many of our Chatham County Horsekateer 4-H members!

The NC 4-H Horse Program (and Chatham County) was well represented at the 50th All American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, OH from October 18-20, 2016. The following are the results of the NC 4-H Horse Program teams:

  • Kirsten Gregory and Julie Dickerson competed on the 4-H Hippology Team with the team placing 1st overall, and Julie placed 5th high score individual.
  • Grace Conerly competed on the 4-H Judging Team where the team placed 7th overall.
  • Laura Dickerson competed on the NCSU Collegiate Judging Team which finished 8th overall.
  • Maddie Edwards competed as an NCSU Limited Judge and placed 1st overall.
  • Mrs. Mary Dickerson served as the NC Hippology Coach.

Chatham County Horsekateer 4-H Members

Our talented 4-H members also celebrated wins at 4-H Nationals in Kentucky from November 2-6. Results included the following:

  • NC 4-H Hippology Team, including Julie Dickerson and Kirsten Gregory, placed 2nd overall, 2nd in written, 7th in judging, 3rd in stations, and 5th in team problems.
  • Julie Dickerson placed 5th high score individual and 3rd in written.
  • Kirsten Gregory placed 9th high score individual, 7th in stations, and 10th in judging.
  • Mary Dickerson served as the NC Hippology Coach.
  • NC 4-H Judging Team, including Grace Conerly, placed 4th overall, 1st in performance, 4th in reasons, and 8th in halter.
  • Grace Conerly placed 7th individual in performance.
