Safely Preserving at Home
People have been preserving food for hundreds of years using different techniques. If preserving is done correctly the shelf life of your food is extended but, if it’s done incorrectly then that could spell trouble and a possible trip to the ER. Join our Extension Agent, Phyllis Smith, as she teaches you the safe way in preserving your fruits and vegetables. This will also give you an opportunity to check out our new facility and our new teaching kitchen! Four classes available to choose from:
Thursday, May 11th 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Friday, May 12th 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 18th 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Friday, May 19th 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Space is limited! Registration form and and payment must be submitted to attend class. Plan ahead and submit early because this class tends to fill up quickly. Download the Safely Preserving at Home Registration form , fill out the form, mail it or drop it by our office with your cash or check payment. We do not accept credit cards.
