Collapse ▲N.C. Cooperative Extension, Chatham County Center will be conducting two courses for pesticide applicators needing the V – Safety Credit and two courses for pesticide applicators needing the X Credit portion of the Private Applicators License.
V Credit programs will be held on; Tuesday, September 11, 2018, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, September 20, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Both classes will be held in the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center Exhibit Hall. For those pesticide applicators needing recertification credits, this course has been approved for two hours credit in the subclass V. These are free programs but pre-registration for each of the programs is required by September 4, 2018, to ensure that there will be adequate materials prepared for each program. X Credit programs are both educational classes that will provide credits as well. The first is titled Weed Control Strategies for Piedmont Pastures and will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center Exhibit Hall. This class will be taught by emeritus CED Sam Groce. For those pesticide applicators needing recertification credits, this course has been approved for two hours credit in the subclasses N, O, D, and X. The second X credit program is titled Pond Weed Management and will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center Exhibit Hall. This class will be taught by Matt Jones the Horticulture Agent for Chatham County. For those pesticide applicators needing recertification credits, this course has been approved for two hours credit in the subclasses A, N, D, and X. These are free programs but pre-registration for each of the programs is required by September 17, 2018, to ensure that there will be adequate materials prepared for each program.
