Elves and gingerbread housesPittsboro, N.C. – The National Gingerbread House Competition™ that is held at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC inspired us to have our very own 4-H Gingerbread House Competition here in Chatham County. This event is open to all ages, including adults!

To follow the guidelines of social distancing due to the pandemic and to help keep everyone safe, this year’s Holly Jolly Gingerbread House offers a photo contest of your Gingerbread creation!

Participants will submit a photo of their gingerbread creation as their entry. These photos will be displayed and judged online!

This competition is open for photo entries from November 16 through December 7, 2020. Winners will be announced on December 18 at 1 p.m. on our Social Media outlets and website.

Chatham County 4-H will also be hosting a virtual 4-H Holly Jolly Afterschool Crafting Workshop.

December 18, 2020, from 3 to 5 p.m.

You must pre-register for this event. Registration closes December 9, 2020, at 5 p.m.

***Craft Kits will be available for pickup on December 14, 2020. Crafting Workshop and Kits are limited to Chatham County residents and those that can pick up from the Chatham County Ag and Conference Center. Kits are limited to 45.
