From exploring nature during day camp to celebrating the holidays during our 2nd annual Gingerbread Extravaganza, Chatham County 4-H has had a busy 2025!
Here is a snapshot of our year:
-
- 205 Enrolled 4-H Members.
- 19 Dedicated Volunteers
- 5 Active Clubs spanning interests such as sewing, equine, dairy and more.
- $5,180 earned by members through presentations, project record books, and scholarships
Volunteers Putting in the Hours
- Volunteers spent a combined total of 4,200 hours building confidence and new skills in our future leaders. Many volunteers dedicate their time as club leaders, training youth through hands-on projects, leadership opportunities, and community service. Their commitment provides safe, supportive spaces where young people can learn by doing, develop meaningful relationships, and grow into capable, confident leaders prepared to succeed in school, careers, and their communities.
Reach Beyond Clubs
- During the school year, Chatham County 4-H reached 1,080 youth through school enrichment programs. Participants experienced hands-on learning as they observed chicks hatch, butterflies emerge from their chrysalises, and plants grow from seeds.
- Thanks to all who joined us for our 2nd Annual Gingerbread Extravaganza. Activities varied from making reindeer feed to potting plants to take home or give as a gift. A huge thank you to Horton Middle School Chorus and 7 Dance Centre Mini Company for providing entertainment.
