North Carolina pesticide applicators are encouraged to review their recertification status and make plans now to complete any required training before applicable deadlines.
To help applicators navigate the recertification process, N.C. Cooperative Extension, Chatham County Center has developed a comprehensive online resource that brings together the information and tools needed to maintain pesticide certification. The webpage includes local pesticide recertification programs offered in Chatham County, as well as training opportunities in surrounding counties for those who need additional scheduling options.
The resource page is designed primarily for private pesticide applicators but also contains information useful to commercial applicators. Visitors can find:

Private pesticide applicators should remember that all recertification requirements, including any required credits and C&T training, must be completed by September 30 of their recertification year. Although private applicator licenses remain valid through December 31, credits earned after September 30 cannot be applied toward that recertification cycle.
Commercial pesticide applicators must complete their recertification requirements by June 30 of their recertification year.
Waiting until the last minute can make it difficult to find available classes that fit your schedule. Applicators are encouraged to review their status early and register for training opportunities as soon as possible.
