NC 4-H Shooting Sports

We are excited to be offering two 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor trainings in NC with one taking place in the Western part of the state this year!!! This training is for any adult 4-H volunteers who are interested in offering the 4-H Shooting Sports program to 4-H youth. Volunteers MUST complete this 4-H training before being able to volunteer at the range.

(WNC Training) Saturday, April 13, 2024
Online Registration
Registration Deadline: April 1, 2024
Location: 555 Landfill Road, Burnsville, NC 28714
Check-in 8:00 a.m., Starts at 8:30. Training will last all day.
Cost $95- includes lunch, materials and supplies. Make all payments to West Region 4-H Shooting Sports. Mail checks to N.C. Cooperative Extension, Madison County Center (attn: Misty Varnell) 258 Carolina Lane, Marshall, NC 28753)

(Central Training) Saturday, April 6, 2024
Online Registration
Registration Deadline: March 22, 2024
Location:  Millstone 4-H Camp, Ellerbe.
Check-in 8:00 a.m., start at 8:30. Training will last all day.
Cost $95- includes lunch, materials and supplies. Cabins are available @$32/person or $150/cabin through the camp. Contact Keith_Russell@ncsu.edu for cabins. Make all payments to Millstone 4-H Camp.

Part of this training includes an online training module form National. Cost is $20. If you have previously completed the online training, you do not have to retake this year. Link will be sent with the confirmation email when registration is closed.
