Collapse ▲Important Safety Information for the Upcoming Winter Storm
As we are all aware, a major winter storm is approaching, and it is expected to be quite severe. It has been a while since we experienced a significant ice storm, and if you don’t remember or have never encountered one in North Carolina—or elsewhere—it is certainly not a pleasant experience.

Time is running out to prepare for the upcoming winter storm. Start preparing today so that you are ready for tomorrow.
- Stay indoors.
- Avoid traveling: Roads may be hazardous.
- Limit outdoor activities: Stepping outside to explore poses a higher risk of injury, and we want to ensure your safety.
- Emergency services: In case of an emergency requiring law enforcement, rescue, or fire services, please note that response times may be longer due to road conditions.
- Keep cell phones charged whenever possible. If necessary, use your car to charge them during power outages, but be extremely cautious when walking on ice-covered surfaces.
