Poultry Workshop – Backyard & Small Flocks

Poultry workshop flyer

Poultry owners, whether raising backyard birds or managing small-scale flocks, are invited to attend the Backyard & Small Flocks Poultry Workshop on March 2 at 6:00 p.m. This free program will be held in person at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center in Pittsboro and will also be available online for those who prefer to join remotely.

Hosted by North Carolina Cooperative Extension, this educational workshop is designed for both new and experienced flock owners who want to strengthen their poultry knowledge and management skills using practical, research-based information.

Topics will include chick development, egg incubation, brooding best practices, common poultry diseases, parasite management, and basic nutrition. Due to strong interest from last year’s program, this year’s workshop will feature an expanded, dedicated question-and-answer session so participants can receive guidance tailored specifically to their own flocks, facilities, and management goals.

This event is part of ongoing educational programming supported by NC State University Extension to provide science-based information for the agricultural community.

Pre-registration is required. To learn more or reserve a seat, visit www.go.ncsu.edu/poultry26.

For additional information, contact Dalton Suits at dalton_suits@ncsu.edu or (919) 542-8242.
