We are excited to announce that Chicken Chain 2023-2024 is coming!! Are you interested in learning how to raise and show chickens? If you are between the ages of 5-18 strut on out to our Eggcellent Explorers Chicken Chain Interest Meeting. We will be hosting this meeting and scratching the surface on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 6:00 pm. at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Chatham County Center Building. No registration is required.
The Eggcellent Eggsplorers 4-H Chicken Chain is a multi-county (Alamance, Guilford, Chatham, and Moore) chicken project where youth flock together receive day-old chicks, then raise them to show at our event in October. Youth gain valuable skills in responsibility, life cycles, animal husbandry, and money and budget management. We look forward to seeing new and returning Chatham County 4-Hers.
