Kurt Smith

Dr. Smith specializes in the area of land retention for forest owners across the state. He works in both education and research to assist landowners in retaining their lands through tools like succession planning, keeping working lands profitable, and introducing new markets and innovations which can be employed on working lands. Some of his current research and education efforts are centered on 'heirs' property awareness, prevention and remediation, and on new innovations to keep working lands profitable.
