4-H Fun with STEM in Chatham County!

Interested in learning about electricity? Want to build some circuits and learn to solder? Join us on October 15th at the Chatham County Center!

When:

There will be two sessions available on October 15th, both covering the same content. Each session will cover some beginning electrical concepts, go over the common tools & components used, review proper safety protocols, learn how to solder, and assemble a project kit with a printed circuit board.

• 9:30am to 11:30am - Morning Session (Homeschoolers)

OR

• 3:15pm to 5:15pm - Afternoon Session (After school)

Where:

This event will take place in the N.C. Cooperative Extension offices at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference center (1192 US 64 W Business, Pittsboro, NC, 27312).

Who:

Enrolled 4-H members who are 10 years of age and older are allowed to participate. Details are provided below. 

Registration:

Registration is required to attend and must be completed in 4-HOnline prior to October 8th. Space for these workshops is limited, so enrollment will be approved on a first-come-first-serve basis. Registration will close once a session is filled.

1. You must be enrolled in 4-HOnline to register for the event. If you have not yet enrolled, please visit our 4-HOnline information page on how to successfully do this. (As an added bonus, enrolled members get instant notifications to register for additional county events – like summer camps – and much more!) 4-H membership is FREE and is now required to participate in county 4-H programs. If you are not interested in joining a 4-H club, that is no problem. Just make sure to select “Chatham Members At Large” as your club selection in 4-HOnline.
2. After completing 4-HOnline enrollment, 4-H staff will approve your initial enrollment which will allow you to see the available event offerings for Chatham County.
3. Log back into your 4-HOnline account and click on the “event” link on the left side of the page to see the complete list of events. After choosing your event selections, 4-H staff will be able to approve your registration(s) based on space availability. OR Scan the QR code on the graphic above or click the link and it will take you straight to the event. From there, follow steps 1. & 2. to register, if you have not yet done so.
