Collapse ▲June is National Healthy Homes Month and a great time to brush up on home cleaning tips and safety reminders.
Most kitchens stay pretty busy with food storage, food prep and cooking, meal clean-up and eating. With all that use, our kitchens need regular cleaning to keep everyone safe.
House Cleaning Safety Tips
- Open a window, run a ventilation fan, and wear protective gear as needed.
- Label any homemade cleaning products even if you think you’ll remember what’s in the bottle.
- Keep children safe by using the sprayer locks on cleaning bottles, keeping cleaning products out of reach and closed while cleaning if children are present.
- Buy the right tools to do the cleaning job safely. If a cleaning situation feels too dicey, just leave if or hire someone why has the appropriate gear to do it for you.
