Collapse ▲Chatham County 4-H Youth Election Results Are Here!
Over 6000 youth in 27 counties across our state cast their ballots in the 2024 Election. County 4-H Programs partnered with their Boards of Election, schools, libraries, and other agencies so that you could hear their voice.
Chatham County 4-H, in partnership with our local Chatham County Libraries, held mock youth elections at each of our library locations and here are the results!
Youth at each voting location participated in a variety of activities in addition to casting their ballot. They added their wishes for their community to our wish tree, covering it with colorful leaves. They colored postcards encouraging others to vote. They also had the opportunity to take a patriotic photo at our photo booth.
Youth Election 2024 – Results
We had 72 youth across the county cast a ballot and participate in the youth elections, with even more stopping by to check out the accompanying activities.
At our Chatham Community Library event, forty-nine youth shared their vote, made wishes on our Wish Tree, and took photos at our patriotic photo booth. We also had sixteen youth participate by casting a ballot at our Wren Memorial Library election event and seven youth cast ballots at our Goldston Public Library election event. Youth were encouraged to tell others about their experience and how important it is to be civically minded, engaged citizens, and vote!
