Invasive Species: From the Beyond to Your Backyard
This lecture will provide a broad background on basic research in invasive species and then focus on the specific economic and ecological consequences invasive species inflict on natural systems in North Carolina.

Dr. Zachary Long is a community ecologist who uses theory and experiments to understand the importance of biodiversity. His current research focuses on how invasive species influence the services provided by coastal ecosystems.
