Collapse ▲North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Chatham County Center will be conducting two courses for pesticide applicators needing the V – Safety Credit and two courses for pesticide applicators needing the X Credit portion of the Private Applicators License.
V Credit programs will be held on; Thursday, April 25, 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m. at Best Foods Cafeteria in Siler City. The cost of lunch will be discounted because of our sponsor, Royal Oil, get there at 11:30 to go through the line. The cost is $5 per person and is open to the first 25 people. Please pre-register by April 22, 2019, to ensure that there will be adequate materials prepared. Another V Credit class will be offered on Thursday, September 12, 6–8 p.m. at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center in the Exhibit Hall. This is a free program but pre-registration is required by September 9, 2019, to ensure that there will be adequate materials prepared for each program. X Credit programs are both educational classes that will provide credits as well. The first is titled Livestock and Pasture Pests, and will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019, 9–11 a.m. This course will be approved for two hours in the subclasses G, H, K, L, N, O, D and X. This is a free program but pre-registration is required by July 15, 2019, to ensure that there will be adequate materials prepared for each program. The second is titled Pasture Weed Control and will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019, 6:30–8:30 p.m. in the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center in the Exhibit Hall. For those pesticide applicators needing recertification credits, this course has been approved for two hours credit in the subclasses N, O, D and X. To register for this class please go to. This is a free program but pre-registration is required by July 29, 2019, to ensure that there will be adequate materials prepared for each program.
