Job Summary

The Extension 4-H Program Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator has the responsibility of planning, executing, and evaluating effective and comprehensive 4-H educational programs that meet the needs of the county’s youth from ages 5-18, in accordance with the mission and priorities established by the National 4-H Council and in alignment with the mission and vision of N.C. Cooperative Extension. The Program Assistant/Associate will assist in planning and conducting county 4-H programs in partnership with other 4-H programming staff and Extension personnel at the Chatham County Center. Such programming will include, but not be limited to, school enrichment, club programming, camps, special interest programs, and community outreach events. This staff member will train and recruit critical community volunteers and program leaders to continue program outreach throughout Chatham County. This staff member will also act as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Chatham County Center.

This position is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 40-hour per week position. This position is 100% county-funded.
