Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities
The agent in this position will have educational responsibilities in all phases of livestock, equine, forages, and field crops. This individual will also act as the county pesticide coordinator. The successful candidate must be able to conduct educational programs that focus on the profitability and sustainability of North Carolina livestock, equine, forages, field crops, and pesticide education, utilizing best practices based on research to include the adoption of proven technology, business, and financial practices.

This position will function as county pesticide coordinator and be responsible for providing educational training opportunities for private, public, and commercial operators to obtain and maintain their licenses.

The agent will be expected to develop and market educational programs with measurable impacts and to collaborate with other agencies, groups, and organizations in order to more effectively reach intended audiences throughout the county.

This position is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position.
